Los Gatos, Calif. – November 18, 2009 – Firetide, Inc. , the leading provider of wireless infrastructure mesh networks, today announced the appointment of Chris Lee to director of sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Lee brings to Firetide more than 25 years of international business development, sales and marketing experience in telecommunications, IT start-ups and public companies and has an impressive track record of building profitable and sustainable business operations in Europe, the Middle East and the U.S.

Lee’s appointment coincides with the recent availability of Firetide’s new game-changing MIMO solution which the company expects will have a significant impact on EMEA sales.

“The MIMO-based Firetide wireless infrastructure mesh delivers up to 400 Mbps indoor and 300 Mbps outdoor real-world throughput, enabling customers to deploy, for the first time,  large-scale municipal, industrial and enterprise wireless infrastructure for video, data and voice applications,” said Lee. “Until now, EMEA customers have lacked the ability to cover long distances at such high throughput and, in Western Europe, to overcome restrictions on antenna and power consumption.”

Lee has held executive level management positions with industry-leading companies including BBN, Lucent Technologies, Xedia Networks, and NET. In addition, he has played an instrumental role in launching and building to revenue-generating mode more than ten start-up companies across Europe. Throughout his career, he has worked to bring innovative technologies to market including the migration of circuit-to-packet, ATM, routing, photonic switching, TCP/IP, and digitized voice services.
